ICS lists Woodruff 'Wino Woody' DeSilva, a former manager of Los Angeles International Airport, as the 1968 champion. Its own page for that year describes the ballot box being thrown down a mine shaft and no decision declared until the next year, and ICS's history calls C.V. Wood (1969) the first winner.
